Summer in Alaska. This is what it's all about. Living up here since 1990, I have yet to meet anyone who told me they live in Alaska because they enjoy the winters. Needless to say, the summers here are shorter than most other places in the United States, but with the almost 24 hours of daylight, we can get two months of Summer just in the month of July alone. Below are just a few of the pictures I've taken during the summer months, but to be honest, none of them come close to the experience of being here.

This is my favorite place in the whole State of Alaska. It's Waldon Lake. Just 20 minutes from my home in Anchorage. I spend many evenings and weekends here flyfishing for rainbow trout.

Flying over Knick Glacier, just outside of Anchorage.

Bobby and his pickup. This was taken in front of our house, which sits at the foothills of the Chugach Mountains.

Seward Alaska on the 4th of July. The town population swells from 3,000 to around 25,000 for the biggest July 4th celebration in the State.

A common site in Anchorage, but especially in the Autumn and Winter.

Enjoying the great outdoors.
