While living in Ubon in 1973, my friends and I would often venture out in the countryside exploring areas of Thailand not
frequented by American Military or tourists. One such place is Tot-Phanom which you can see below. It had a Thai convent
with perhaps one of the most beautiful temples in all of Thailand. Other pictures include rural areas to the north and east
of Ubon, and some pictures that I took at the Thai border with Laos.
