Thailand

My name is John Ellis, and the purpose of this site is to share some of the wonderful experiences I had while living in the exotic country of Thailand. While on active duty in the United States Air Force, I was fortunate enough to be assigned to three distinctly different areas of this beautiful country. In 1972 I was assigned to U-tapao Royal Thai Navy Air Base, which is located on the Gulf of Siam in the South Central region. In 1973 I spent approximately seven months in the North Eastern area of the country at Ubon Air Base, and in 1974 I lived at Korat Air Base in the Central Region. During those three years I was extremely fortunate to be able to travel around the country, meet alot of people, make alot of friends and take alot of pictures.
